Popular Nigerian dancer and hypeman, Iweh Pascal Odinaka, better known as Poco Lee, is expected to appear before Snaresbrook Crown Court in London on September 15, 2026, over an alleged assault.
The court has confirmed that the matter is listed for plea and trial preparation on the scheduled date.
The development was confirmed by the court’s Admin Team Lead, James Baker, who said the case would be heard at Snaresbrook Crown Court.
Court confirms hearing date
Baker, however, declined to disclose the exact time and courtroom for the proceedings, explaining that such information would only become available shortly before the hearing.
In a statement, he said the case was officially listed for plea and trial preparation on September 15.
“OFFICIAL. Good afternoon. I can confirm that this case is currently listed at Snaresbrook Crown Court for plea and trial preparation on the 15th September 2026.
“Criminal Court hearings are open to the public. Precise times and courtroom information will not be available until the day before the hearing. Many thanks,” he stated.
Reports of Poco Lee’s detention
The court confirmation followed claims made on Monday by Benjamin Kuti, popularly known as Oluomo of Derby and founder of the Community of Nigerians in the United Kingdom.
Kuti said in a social media post that Poco Lee was being held in a UK prison and was expected to appear before a court in September.
He said he was aware of the case because he regularly attends court proceedings and offers support to Nigerians involved in legal matters in the United Kingdom.
“I can confirm that the reports are true. Poco Lee is currently on remand in a UK prison. His next court date is scheduled for the second week of September, when he is expected to have a plea hearing,” Kuti said.
Plea hearing explained
Kuti explained that a plea hearing would ordinarily involve the accused entering either a guilty or not-guilty plea.
He also said he intended to attend the proceedings as part of his efforts to support members of the Nigerian community facing legal proceedings in the UK.
The latest confirmation from Snaresbrook Crown Court has now established that Poco Lee’s case is formally listed for plea and trial preparation on September 15.
However, the court has not yet released the precise time or courtroom for the proceedings.
Poco Lee has not been convicted of the alleged offence, and the case remains before the court.
