Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Funke Akindele, has reunited with her former husband, Abdulrasheed Bello, popularly known as JJC Skillz, during a family holiday in Paris, France.
The former couple were spotted spending time together with their twin sons, with videos shared on Snapchat showing them visiting different locations in the French capital.
Former couple enjoy family time in Paris
In one of the videos shared by JJC Skillz on Wednesday, Akindele and the children were seen with him at what appeared to be a shopping centre in Paris.
The video was captioned, “Family time,” as the family appeared to enjoy a relaxed outing together.
In another clip, JJC Skillz asked Akindele, “Mama Ibeji, are we playing games?” to which she replied, “Yess ooo.”
The former couple were also reportedly spotted at the Eiffel Tower, one of Paris’ most recognisable landmarks, during the holiday.
Akindele subsequently shared another video showing herself, JJC Skillz and their children at a PlayStation section of what appeared to be a shopping mall.
Family holiday follows new movie project
The family outing comes after Akindele and her children travelled to the United Kingdom for a holiday following the completion of her latest cinema project, The Four.
The latest family reunion has attracted attention online, particularly because of the former couple’s public history and their continued relationship despite ending their marriage.
The videos showed them interacting casually and spending time with their children, although neither Akindele nor JJC Skillz has indicated that their reunion signals a reconciliation of their marriage.
Akindele, JJC Skillz separated in 2022
Akindele and JJC Skillz got married in London in 2016 and welcomed twin boys in 2018.
In June 2022, JJC Skillz announced that their marriage had ended, citing “irreconcilable differences” in a statement shared on Instagram.
Despite their separation, the former couple have continued to maintain a relationship centred on the welfare and upbringing of their children.
Their latest outing in Paris reflects their continued willingness to spend family time together despite no longer being married.
Former couple previously reunited at movie premiere
The Paris outing is not the first time Akindele and JJC Skillz have been seen together publicly since their separation.
The former couple were also spotted together at the Lagos premiere of their movie, She Must Be Obeyed, in 2023.
At the event, they were seen dancing and embracing alongside other celebrities who attended the premiere.
JJC Skillz directed the movie, while Akindele featured in the project.
Their latest appearance together has once again generated interest among fans, with many focusing on the cordial relationship the former couple appear to maintain as co-parents.
