Gospel singer, Nathaniel Bassey has expressed gratitude to Pastor Jerry Eze, founder of Streams of Joy International, for surprising him with a new car.

Bassey revealed the gesture in an Instagram post on Friday, saying he had initially planned to spend a quiet day thanking God before discovering that Eze had been working with his wife to surprise him with the vehicle.

The gospel singer said he was left “speechless” by the unexpected gift, describing Eze as his brother, friend and a generous man.

According to Bassey, Eze insisted on getting him the best car after his wife had suggested a particular vehicle.

The pastor reportedly told Bassey’s wife, “My brother can’t drive that,” while insisting that a better vehicle should be purchased.

Bassey said the surprise left him deeply touched, noting that he normally prefers to keep such personal gestures private but decided to share this particular one publicly.

He wrote, “Woke up yesterday just desiring a nice easy day of gratitude to God. Unknown to me my brother and friend @realjerryeze had this holy coup ongoing with my wife.”

“Of a truth the surpriser had been surprised. Still don’t know how to really express this in words.”

Bassey also praised Eze for his generosity, revealing that the pastor had planned similar surprises for other people.

“Pastor Jerry, not only has he done this for me. I know of a couple of other ones like this he is currently planning. The man gives like his life depends on it,” he said.

The singer publicly thanked the Streams of Joy International founder for the gift and prayed that the joy Eze had brought to him and his family would return to the pastor and his family in multiple folds.

“May the smile you have put on my face and family be seen in multiple folds on you and yours in Jesus’ name,” Bassey wrote.

He also called on his followers to join him in appreciating Eze for the surprise.

In a subsequent post, Bassey shared a picture of himself with the new car, reiterating his appreciation to the pastor.

“Pastor Jerry thank you sir. Still stunned,” he wrote.
