The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Bauchi State has intensified its grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections with the reception of 147 former members of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The new members were received during an event organised in honour of the 20 local government coordinators for the gubernatorial and senatorial campaigns of Governor Bala Mohammed and Yakubu Adamu.

The development is expected to further strengthen the APM’s grassroots structure as political parties intensify mobilisation across the state ahead of the 2027 elections.

Speaking at the event, Director General/Coordinator of Kaurasiyya AQIDA 2027, Alhaji Mahiru Maiwada Wundi, welcomed the decampees and urged them to work with other party members towards securing victory for the APM.

He assured them that they would be given equal treatment within the party, while calling for unity and commitment among members.

The leader of the decampees said they decided to join the APM because of their belief in the achievements of Governor Bala Mohammed’s administration and their desire to support continuity.

The gathering attracted political supporters from the 20 local government areas of the state, alongside party leaders and other stakeholders.

Among those who attended were the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Jamilu Barade; former Chairman of Alkaleri LGA, Alhaji Bello Arabi; and Hon. Nuhu Zaki, women leaders among other top party dignitaries.

The large turnout and participation of supporters underscored the party’s ongoing efforts to consolidate its grassroots support ahead of the 2027 elections.
