Former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Honourable Babangida Nguroje, has eulogised the founding fathers of Taraba State for laying a solid foundation for its growth since creation and nurturing it as a destination of choice, declaring that what binds the people collectively is greater than what separates them.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Chieftain and Deputy Director, Parliamentarian Mobilization for the 2027 Presidential Campaign Organisation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu said Taraba has potentials of a great state, ranging from its tropical climate, location as a gateway to international trade, energy as well as human and natural resources, adding that the peace and tranquility in the state played key role in its survival and progress.
In a message to mark the state’s 35 years of creation, Honourable Nguroje commended the state Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas, former Governor Jolly Nyame, late Dambaba Suntai, Darius Ishaku , former military administrators of the state, other stakeholders for working hard in sustaining the vision of the forefathers that has made the state remain a proud symbol of cultural diversity and peaceful co-existence.
Honourable Nguroje pointed out that under successive leaders the state has made significant growth and commended the traditional institution for protecting the cultural values of the state as custodians at all times.
He reiterated that the foundations for economic prosperity laid and being sustained by the Kefas administration in all the sectors have become non-negotiable and will remain indelible on the sand of time.
He called on all people and friends of Taraba State to develop positive mindsets as the state commemorates 35 years of statehood and called on all to strive to build on positive legacies with renewed vision and convictions as the state marches on.
He said what binds Taraba citizens collectively must be a top priority and above any other personal consideration.
