The holiday season is here once again. Children feel excited taking a break from school and engaging in other activities which make them happy and relaxed. These children in this interview by TOBILOBA OREYEMI, speak on the different activities they indulge in.

Fisayo Oyekola, 13 years old

My best activity during the holiday is knitting. I don’t really play much, so I spend most of my free time knitting. I enjoy using different colours of yarn to produce beautiful what I made with my own hands. It is fun and also helps me learn new skills. I like trying different patterns and designs, and I feel good seeing the designs coming out fine.

Pemisire Ogunjaiye, 12 years old

I spend much time playing video games and watching movies during the holidays. I enjoy playing games on my phone because it is fun and helps me to relax. I also help my mummy with the house chores and take care of the chickens every morning. Sometimes, I also do my laundry. Although I don’t always enjoy doing house chores, but I know my mummy is grooming me to become a responsible person in the future.

Oluwadamilare Johnson, 13 years old

The holidays give me more time to relax, have fun and do the things I enjoy.

I usually spend time playing football with my friends during the holidays. We meet and play, which is always fun. However, I derive much fun riding my bicycle. I enjoy riding around because it gives me the chance of exploring different places. I also spend some of my time reading, although I don’t do that very often.

Monica Nmeche, 9 years old

I love to knit and watch movies during holidays. I enjoy knitting because it is fun. It also gives me the opportunity of creating different items. I also enjoy watching movies during my free time.

Nelson Fakilede, 12 years old

I always have more than enough time to play games on my parents’ phones during holidays. Although,  I sometimes play football with my friends, but I love playing games more. I don’t consider playing football much fun because my mother doesn’t allow me to spend much time outside.
