Operatives of the Kaduna State Police Command in collaboration with the Kaduna State Vigilante Service have dismantled two bandit hideouts in Makarfi Local Government Area, in a clearance operation aimed at denying criminals freedom of movement.

The raid was conducted on Friday, August 29, 2026 at about 8:00am, following credible intelligence provided by community members, a statement issued weekend in kaduna.

According to a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Mansir Hassan, the joint team raided suspected bandit enclaves around Durum and Danguzuri general areas, extending to the boundary with Kano State.

During the operation, two structures identified as hideouts used by bandits to hold abducted victims at Rugar Mijin Goggo and Unguwar Maryamu in Danguzuri were dismantled.

“Joint security patrols are still ongoing in the area and normalcy has been restored. The general area remains calm,” the statement added.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Rabiu Muhammad, commended both the community for their cooperation and the operatives for their gallantry. He reaffirmed the Command’s resolve to sustain the offensive against banditry and all forms of criminality in the state.

The Command also appealed to residents to continue providing timely and credible information to security agencies to aid ongoing operations.

The latest operation is part of the Command’s sustained efforts to secure lives and property across Kaduna State amid persistent attacks by armed groups in parts of the North-West.
