Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Chichi, has opened up about her long-running dispute with fellow reality star Phyna, claiming she once placed curses on her former colleague following their disagreement during the reality show.

Chichi made the disclosure while reacting to issues surrounding Phyna, alleging that some of the challenges the reality star is currently facing are connected to the curses she reportedly placed on her.

“I have moved on since the 2023 Big Brother reunion show ended, and I laid enough curses on Phyna. Everything currently happening to you is a result of those curses. Because of an N15 million boxing deal saga, you have been shouting over the money like a lunatic,” Chichi said.

Her comments come amid fresh controversy involving Phyna and an alleged N15 million celebrity boxing deal, with the former housemate criticising Phyna’s handling of the dispute.

Chichi also used the opportunity to emphasise her view that winning the BBNaija reality show is not necessarily the most important measure of success.

Winning BBNaija is not the ultimate

According to Chichi, contestants should be more concerned about what they achieve after leaving the reality show rather than relying solely on the popularity that comes with winning or participating in the programme.

“Winning BBNaija is not the ultimate. What matters is what happens after the show,” she said.

She further accused Phyna of being overly concerned about fame while addressing her recent dispute with social media influencer Ashmusy.

Chichi claimed that she was also contacted to participate in the celebrity boxing event but declined the invitation because she did not consider it necessary.

“I am not desperate for fame”

Chichi questioned why, according to her, some brands may be unwilling to associate themselves with Phyna, while insisting that she does not need to pursue publicity.

“Girl, at this point, you need to take a chill. Have you ever sat down and asked yourself why people don’t want to associate their brand with you? I am not a brokie like you, nor am I desperate for fame. I was born to be famous,” she said.

She added that organisers of the boxing event contacted her through direct messages, but she rejected the offer.

“Those people also reached out to me in my DM, but I rejected it because I am not desperate for fame. I grew up on the streets, but I am not a mad woman. You’re a disgrace to the people from the streets,” Chichi added.

Chichi’s latest comments have reignited attention on her past relationship with Phyna, with both former housemates having previously been involved in public disagreements.

The latest exchange also comes as Phyna continues to attract public attention over her recent controversies and social media disputes.
