Operatives of the Delta State Police Command have arrested seven suspects, rescued kidnapped victims, and recovered illegal firearms as well as hard drugs in a series of coordinated operations across the state.
The police said the arrests and recoveries were part of intensified efforts to curb criminal activities and strengthen security in communities.
According to the Command, the operations were carried out through intelligence-led raids and patrols by tactical units and divisional teams. The coordinated actions led to the apprehension of the suspects, the safe rescue of victims who had been abducted by kidnappers, and the recovery of illegal weapons and substances believed to be linked to criminal activities.
Police authorities noted that the successful operations demonstrate the Command’s commitment to protecting lives and property while ensuring that criminal elements are identified and brought to justice.
The Command further assured residents that investigations are ongoing and that the suspects will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
Residents were also urged to continue cooperating with security agencies by providing credible information that could assist in preventing crime and enhancing public safety across the state.
