A full video clip contradicting an earlier claim on social media that filmmaker Funke Akindele
snubbed Fuji star Wasiu Alabi Pasuma has emerged on the same platform.
The controversy began after an X user posted a short, edited video suggesting Akindele ignored Pasuma at a crowded public event in Lagos recently.
But the actress has pushed back strongly and described the claim as false and rooted in negativity amplified online.
“Snub? Hell no. Stop the negativity pls. I saw him, greeted him, danced with him. Pasuma is my egbon. Pls you all should stop this evil,†Akindele wrote in response to the claim on Sunday.

The viral clip, overlaid with attention-grabbing text, showed only a brief moment where Akindele appeared to be greeting other guests while Pasuma sat nearby, creating the impression of a deliberate snub without showing the full sequence of events.
However, extended footage from the same gathering paints a different picture, capturing Akindele warmly greeting Pasuma, smiling, and engaging with him before continuing her rounds at the event.
Attendees and fans who circulated the longer video argued that the original post relied on selective editing to shape a misleading narrative, a pattern increasingly common in viral celebrity content.
The event itself, held in honour of actress Fathia Balogun and attended by several public figures, has since become a case study in how quickly incomplete visuals can spark controversy—coming just weeks after a similar online debate involving Akindele and actress Toyin Abraham.
