A four-storey building in the Ajuwon area of Ogun State reportedly sank into the ground in a tragic incident that has left residents in shock.
According to eyewitness accounts, the building did not collapse sideways as is typical in structural failures. Instead, the lower floors reportedly gave way and sank vertically into the ground, leaving only the uppermost section of the structure visible above the surface.
Sources said only occupants on the top floor survived the incident, while the fate of others remains unclear. Rescue efforts and emergency response are expected as authorities assess the situation.
The cause of the incident has not yet been officially confirmed.
