Chicago Police are seeking four suspects who opened fire with handguns and rifles on the 7600 block of South Halsted Street in Auburn Gresham on July 2, killing two people and wounding two others. CPD has released surveillance video of the incident and is asking for the public’s help identifying the suspects.

Four suspects approached a group of people standing outside a gas station in Auburn Gresham in the early morning hours of July 2 and opened fire killing two and wounding two others before fleeing down a nearby alley.

The shooting occurred at approximately 12:23 a.m. at the 7600 block of South Halsted Street in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood within the 6th District according to Chicago Police.

Four victims were standing outside when four suspects approached and opened fire. The suspects then fled on foot down a nearby alley.

A 53-year-old woman and a 46-year-old man were transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center where both were pronounced dead.

A 35-year-old woman was shot multiple times in the leg and a 33-year-old man was shot multiple times in the body.

Both were transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center where they were listed in critical condition at the time of the shooting.

Chicago Police have now released the footage publicly and are asking anyone who recognizes the suspects to come forward.
