The family of four-year-old Yuadoo Shima Kange has made a heartfelt appeal to the public for information that could lead to her safe return, nearly three months after she mysteriously disappeared from her home in Gboko, Benue State.

Yuadoo went missing on the evening of May 8, 2026, between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., after she was sent to fetch her slippers from the area where she had been playing beneath a mango tree in front of her family’s residence at No. 12 Jooji Kyado Street, off J.S. Tarka Way, near NKST Manyam, Gboko East. She never returned.

According to the family, the disappearance of their beloved daughter, granddaughter, niece and sister has left them devastated, with the emotional toll worsening by the day.

The family’s matriarch, Princess Dorothy Kange, is currently hospitalized after suffering severe trauma following Yuadoo’s disappearance. Her mother, who was pregnant at the time, endured months of emotional distress while desperately searching for her missing daughter before eventually undergoing a Caesarean section to deliver her baby. Despite the arrival of the newborn, the family says the anguish of not knowing Yuadoo’s whereabouts continues to haunt them.

Yuadoo is chocolate-complexioned, speaks both Tiv and English, and is intelligent enough to recognize familiar places. Her family believes that if she is brought to NKST Manyam, Jooji Kyado Street, or nearby areas, she may be able to identify her way back home.
