The United States has accused the Spanish government of facilitating mass illegal migration into Europe, describing a recent incident as an “egregious violation” of Spain’s sovereignty and human rights.
In a statement, the US said it stands with the people of Spain and other Europeans, insisting that the incident was a direct consequence of Spain’s migration policies.
According to the statement, the Spanish government’s deliberate efforts to enable and facilitate mass illegal migration into Europe were responsible for the situation, warning that the development poses broader security concerns.

The US also disclosed that it is considering measures to protect Americans at home and abroad from what it described as the growing threat, while expressing readiness to support European allies exploring similar responses.
“The United States stands with the people of Spain, and all Europeans, against this egregious violation of their sovereignty and human rights,” the statement read.
It added, “This unacceptable incident is the direct result of the Spanish Government’s deliberate efforts to enable and facilitate mass illegal migration into Europe.”
The US further stated that it is reviewing possible actions to defend its citizens and pledged support for allied nations that may adopt comparable measures.
