Three people smashed the front windows of Little Joe’s bar in Chicago’s Little Italy neighborhood around 6 a.m. stole the cash register and left the beer tap running on their way out. The bar responded on social media with a zero star customer review for the burglars that has since gone viral.

A Chicago bar turned a frustrating overnight break-in into a viral social media moment after three people smashed through its front windows around 6 a.m. stole the cash register and walked out leaving the beer tap running.

Little Joe’s bar in the Little Italy neighborhood was broken into by three individuals who smashed the front windows to gain entry according to the bar and Chicago Police.

Once inside the suspects took the cash register and fled.

They left the beer tap running on their way out.

Chicago Police have been notified and are investigating. No arrests have been made.

The Zero Star Review

Rather than simply post a security alert the bar responded on social media with a zero star customer review addressed directly to the burglars that quickly went viral.

The bar awarded the suspects zero out of five stars. Under pros the bar noted they showed up early. Under cons the bar cited breaking the windows, stealing the cash register, and leaving the beer tap running. The review concluded would not recommend.

The bar acknowledged the frustration of the break-in but made clear it would not stop them from operating.

The bar’s windows will be boarded up temporarily but Little Joe’s remains open for business the bar said.

Surveillance video captured the three suspects inside the bar during the break-in.

Anyone who recognizes the individuals in the video is asked to contact the Chicago Police Department.

The bar is located in Chicago’s Little Italy neighborhood on the Near West Side.
