Street-pop singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has broken his silence on his disqualification from the celebrity boxing rematch against Nollywood actor Charles Okocha held on Friday, July 31.

He alleged that the actor bit and choked him during the contest.

Portable made the claims in a video shared on his Instagram story on Saturday, hours after he was disqualified for walking out of the ring during the much-publicised bout held at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Displaying what he described as bite marks and injuries on his back and body, the “Zazoo Zeh” crooner alleged that Okocha abandoned boxing rules and resorted to wrestling during the fight.

“They said he eats Molly. He didn’t see Molly anymore. So he ate my back,” Portable said while showing the alleged injuries.

The singer further claimed that Okocha bit him during the bout, saying, “Man, he bit me. I landed a heavy hit on him.”

Portable maintained that he dominated the contest before the incident, insisting he landed more punches on the actor.

“Normally, I beat him up. Man to man, one man is tougher than another. I dealt him a huge blow,” he said.

Explaining why he left the ring, Portable said he decided not to continue because he believed the fight had become unfair, adding that his music career was worth more than the prize money attached to the contest.

“He bit me, number one. He choked my neck. Camera it. That’s why I say I don’t fight again. I’m big! I’m bigger than the money! I’m a star!” he declared.

The singer also claimed he had fulfilled his promise to deliver 10 punches, adding that he entered the ring expecting to end the fight in a single round.

“I wore one-round cloth to the bout. I wanted to beat him in one round,” he said.

Portable was disqualified after leaving the ring before the end of the opening round of the celebrity boxing rematch, tagged “Unfinished Business.”

Match officials subsequently declared Charles Okocha the winner by disqualification, bringing the highly anticipated rivalry to a controversial end.
