Nigerian singer, Adekunle Gold,  has made a surprising U-turn on one of the messages in his music, admitting that he no longer believes money does not bring happiness.

The award-winning music star confessed that he was wrong to suggest in one of his songs that money does not guarantee happiness, declaring instead that wealth plays a significant role in making life enjoyable.

Gold made the admission in a video shared on his social media platforms while relaxing aboard a luxury yacht with a few friends.

The singer, who appeared to be in high spirits during the outing, reflected on his earlier belief before openly apologising to fans for the line in his song.

According to him, experience has changed his perspective, leading him to conclude that financial comfort contributes greatly to happiness.

“Money is good. It brings happiness,” the singer said in the video.

He added: “I’m sorry I said in my song that money doesn’t bring happiness. It actually does. Money brings happiness.”

Adekunle Gold further stressed that money matters a great deal, insisting that anyone who says otherwise may not have experienced the comfort and opportunities that financial stability provides.

His remarks have since generated reactions across social media, with many fans agreeing with his new stance, while others argued that although money cannot solve every problem, it can significantly improve the quality of life and reduce many daily struggles.
