The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Ogun State, Hon. Ladi Adebutu, has said that good governance must be built on empathy, stressing that effective leadership begins with understanding the challenges facing the people and responding with practical policies that improve their daily lives.

Adebutu stated this on Monday, that governance should be driven by compassion, inclusiveness and a genuine commitment to the welfare of citizens, noting that Ogun State deserves a leadership that listens to the people and delivers meaningful development.

He said his political philosophy has always been centered on improving the lives of artisans, traders, youths, women and families through people-oriented programmes and sustained grassroots engagement.

According to him, leaders must remain connected to the people they serve, ensuring that government policies address their real needs and aspirations rather than serving the interests of a privileged few.

Adebutu maintained that his vision for Ogun State is anchored on expanding opportunities, promoting inclusive development and ensuring that governance places the welfare of citizens above all else.

As preparations for the 2027 governorship election gather momentum, the PDP candidate expressed confidence that Ogun residents would embrace a compassionate and responsive style of leadership capable of delivering sustainable progress.

He added that the state deserves a government that listens to its people, keeps its promises and remains committed to improving the quality of life for every resident.
