The Federal Bureau of Investigation has joined the investigation into the July 2 gas station shooting in Auburn Gresham that killed two people and critically wounded two others offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the identification of four unknown suspects who are believed to frequent the 7700 block of South Peoria Avenue.

The FBI’s Chicago Field Office is now involved in the investigation into a deadly Auburn Gresham gas station shooting that killed two people in the early morning hours of July 2 and is offering up to $10,000 for information leading to the identification of four suspects who opened fire and fled.

At approximately 12:23 a.m. on July 2 four suspects opened fire at a gas station at 7600 South Halsted Street in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood killing two people and critically wounding two others before escaping the area according to the FBI.

The two victims killed were identified as Surbezz Clark 53 and Carlos Jones 46. Both were transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center where they were pronounced dead. Two other victims were critically wounded.

Chicago Police Department released surveillance video of the shooting in late July seeking the public’s help identifying the suspects. Chicago Crime Chaser published that surveillance video as part of our ongoing coverage of this case.

The FBI’s Chicago Field Office has listed the four unknown suspects on its official wanted page and is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to their identification.

The suspects are believed to frequent the 7700 block of South Peoria Avenue in Chicago.
