Media personality Ifedayo Olarinde, popularly known as Daddy Freeze has alleged that some Nollywood actors and Nigerian celebrities sprayed social media influencer Peller with fake dollar notes, claiming that genuinely wealthy individuals would not engage in such an act.
Tribune Online reports that Nigerian skit maker and content creator Peller has claimed that some of the dollar notes sprayed on him during his wedding were fake.
Speaking in a video, Peller said he discovered the alleged fake dollars after returning home.
He explained that while the Nigerian currency he received was genuine, some of the dollar notes were not.

Reacting to this during a live session, Daddy Freeze questioned who could have handed Peller fake dollar bills, saying he believed the people responsible were Nollywood actors and celebrities rather than Nigeria’s billionaire businessmen.
He said, “Who go spray fake dollar? Na Nollywood people. Na Nigerian celebs. The real billionaires will not give you fake dollar.”
“Shey na Cubana Chiefpriest wan give you fake dollar?”
Daddy Freeze added that this is one of the reasons he is hardly seen with many celebrities.
“That’s why I don’t roll with them. How many Nigerian celebs do you see me with? You don’t. I cut them off,” he disclosed.
He also explained that while some celebrities occasionally appear on his live sessions, he rarely socialises with them outside work.
According to him, the few exceptions are people with whom he shares long-standing personal relationships.
“Maybe somebody of Davido’s level. Maybe AY, because we grew together. We both drove Honda Accord together. It’s not because he’s a celebrity; it’s because we are brothers.”
