African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has accused three major government institutions of fueling corruption in Nigeria, the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, the Ministry of Finance, and the Office of the Auditor General of the Federation.


Speaking during an interview with Lucky Udu, Sowore alleged that the offices are “largely responsible for corruption,” citing instances of double payments and financial irregularities.


He vowed that if elected president in the next general election, his administration would deploy Artificial Intelligence (AI) to curb waste and detect fraudulent transactions across government institutions.


“If someone is trying to pay one contractor three times, the AI will detect it,” Sowore said.


The AAC candidate added that his presidency would be anchored on technology and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, leveraging AI, blockchain, and decentralized banking to modernize governance.


“The presidency of Sowore is going to be about technology. Very soon, digital currency will flood the world and your central bank will become archaic,” he stated.


Sowore emphasized that his approach would eliminate loopholes in financial management and reduce corruption by automating oversight functions across ministries and agencies.
