The gubernatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress ( ADC) in Adamawa state, Amb.Omar sulaiman ( Dokajin Adamawa), gave scholarship to the best student of Government Senior Secondary School ( GSSS) Hong, his alma mate Miss Gloria Dujima, to enable her further her education to University level up.
The gubernatorial hopeful who was himself the best best student of the institution during his time made the announcement on Wednesday in Hong, during the 55th graduation and prize giving ceremony of the school where he served as chairman of the occasion.
He reiterated his commitments to invest massively in the education sector of Adamawa state, fast track grassroots development and youths empowerments through sound and visionary policies, and programmes that would change the narratives of the state.
He re-emphasised the importance of education to the development of any society, and tasked the graduating students on the need to embrace hardwork, discipline and integrity in their pursuit of academic excellence as they strive to realise their future endeavors.
According to him, every child irrespective of his background and financial status must be given the opportunity to go to school and realise his or her potentials for the benefits of the society.
Also speaking at the event, the ADC House of Representative candidate for Gombi/ Hong Federal constituency, Hon.Aliyu Terfa, also announced the sponsorship of JAMB registration fees for all graduating students for 2025/2026 academic session.
