The fourth edition of the D’Royal Off‑Season Football Tournament (DOFT 2026), popularly known as “Akara Na Senior Burger,” concluded in grand style on Sunday, 12th July, drawing massive crowds and widespread acclaim across Ondo State.

The final match saw debutants Elite FC defeat defending champions Olukayode FC by a solitary goal, securing the championship trophy and a cash prize of ₦1,000,000. Olukayode FC settled for silver and ₦500,000, while Akure The King City claimed bronze with a 2–0 victory over Velocity FC, receiving ₦200,000.

In a landmark addition, the maiden DOFT Women’s Cup was contested among three teams: Onimarg FC, K.D.O. FC, and Havilah Queens. Onimarg FC emerged champions with ₦200,000, while K.D.O. FC and Havilah Queens earned ₦100,000 and ₦50,000 respectively.

The tournament also featured the inaugural Para‑Table Tennis Championship, hosted by DRIF (D’Royal Inclusive Foundation). The event showcased seven physically challenged athletes in a novelty match, with each participant collectively receiving ₦300,000.

A spectacular performance by the J‑29 cultural troupe set the stage for the finale, captivating the audience with vibrant traditional dance and music. The tournament was supported by leading brands and partners, including Bet9ja Foundation, Nestle Nigeria, Providus Bank, H&B Sports Global, Ageless, and GoldIt, with Rite Foods Limited regrettably absent.

In his closing remarks, the President of DOFT, Mr. Olaniboji Mathew (D’Royal), expressed deep appreciation to all stakeholders, including teams, referees, scouts, media, and the medical team. He thanked sponsors and partners for their enduring belief in the tournament’s vision, promising that the fifth edition would be the best yet.

The month‑long event concluded with spectacular fireworks, leaving a lasting memory of excitement, unity, and sportsmanship.
