Former P-Square singer, Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, has taken his ongoing tell-all series to a more personal level, making emotional claims about how his wife, Lola Omotayo-Okoye, was allegedly treated by members of his family during and after her first pregnancy.

In the eighth episode of his series released on Thursday, the singer shifted focus from previous allegations involving finances and business dealings with his brothers, Jude and Paul, to claims surrounding his family’s relationship with Lola.

Speaking emotionally in the video, Peter recounted an alleged family meeting held at his Omole residence when their son, Cameron, was about five months old.

He claimed that his late mother, Josephine, visited from Jos with pastors and requested to speak privately with Lola.

According to Peter, Lola was not welcomed warmly during the meeting, alleging that she was told by his mother and brother, Jude, to leave him alone.

He further claimed that Jude picked up a photograph of their son and allegedly questioned the child’s paternity, an incident he said left Lola in tears and caused her to leave the house for months.

Peter also alleged that there was pressure on Lola during her pregnancy, claiming that Jude and Paul were against the pregnancy and that an attempt was made to question the child’s paternity through a forged email.

He added that former Cross River State Governor, Liyel Imoke, intervened at a point during the dispute.

The singer, however, said that before their mother’s death, she eventually acknowledged the child as his biological son, prayed over his photograph and asked Jude and Paul to apologise to Lola, though he claimed the apology never came.

Peter also dismissed claims that Lola had a strained relationship with his late mother, insisting that his wife cared for her during her final days in the hospital.

The latest revelations are a continuation of Peter’s previous videos, where he made allegations concerning royalty sharing, business structures and dealings involving Northside Music and his brothers.

Jude Okoye has denied the financial allegations, stating that the matters are before the courts. He has also accused Peter of conducting a media trial rather than allowing legal processes to take their course.

Meanwhile, former Square Records artistes, May D and Cynthia Morgan, have reacted to the ongoing controversy.

May D, who previously had a public fallout with the label, appeared to hint at sharing his own experience with the family. He posted, “Mr May D Part 1 Coming soon!!” alongside laughing emojis, sparking reactions from fans.

Cynthia Morgan, on her part, has been vocal in her criticism of Jude Okoye, describing him in previous posts as “wicked”, “toxic” and “divisive”.

The singer claimed she had personal experiences with Jude during her time with the label and described herself as “a living witness of his wickedness”.

Morgan also expressed hope that the ongoing court cases involving the parties would provide clarity.

“Our only hope to getting the truth this time is the judiciary. So help them God,” she said.

She further alleged that she experienced financial difficulties despite generating revenue during her time with the label, claiming that contractual arrangements left her dependent on Jude.

The unfolding drama has continued to attract public attention, with fans and industry stakeholders closely following the revelations from the former P-Square members and their associates.
