The eldest brother of former P-Square duo, Henry Okoye, says he is no longer confident that Peter and Paul Okoye will mend their fractured relationship, despite his desire to see the twins reunite.

Henry made the remark while speaking in an interview with social commentator Jos Connection at their family home in Plateau State, where he reflected on the lingering feud involving Peter, Paul and their elder brother, Jude Okoye.

Although he acknowledged that Peter had made efforts to resolve the crisis, Henry said too much had happened between the brothers for things to return to how they once were.

“I will be happy for them to come back together but I don’t think it will happen. Paul was a very kind person,” he said.

Henry also appealed directly to Paul to forgive Peter, recalling how Peter stood by him during one of the most difficult periods of his life.

“Peter is trying. I don’t know if Jude used juju on Paul because he was the nicest person in the family before. But the way he changed is surprising. What is happening now is my prayer. I watched all Peter’s series on what transpired,” he said.

He also revisited old grievances involving the family’s finances, alleging that promises made to him when the group started making music were never fulfilled after Jude took over the management of the business.

“They promised me 20 per cent when they start making money. Jude intervened and dismissed that. I challenged him that he wasn’t there when we started everything but now chasing everybody away from them,” Henry alleged.

He further claimed that Peter once directed him to Jude over money he believed was being withheld.

“When Peter’s wife’s dad died, I spoke to them why they left only me in Jos, Peter said I should meet Jude, he’s the one holding my money. I want all the family to come back. I have tried my best. Even Shehu Dantata spoke to them and they didn’t listen,” he said.

Henry urged Jude to play a role in healing the family and appealed to all the brothers to put their differences aside.

The latest comments come against the backdrop of the prolonged dispute between Peter, Paul and Jude, which has played out publicly and in court over the management of P-Square’s finances and royalties.

The twins first split in 2017 before reuniting in 2021, only for fresh disagreements to emerge in 2024 after Peter accused Jude of financial misconduct and alleged that royalties belonging to P-Square were diverted through another company.

Jude has since been arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over alleged financial crimes involving more than N1.38 billion, $1 million and £34,537.59. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Peter also testified against Jude during the trial, while Paul has consistently defended their elder brother, insisting he believes the allegations against him are unfounded.

With the legal battle still ongoing and the brothers remaining divided, Henry said he still longs to see the family reunited but fears the damage done over the years may be too deep to repair.
