Veteran Fuji musician and retired Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Alhaji Isiaka Ishola Adeyinka, popularly known as Askari To n ko Fuji, has announced his full return to the music scene following his retirement from the Nigeria Police Force.

Speaking with journalists, the veteran entertainer said retirement had provided him with the opportunity to focus entirely on his passion for music after years of successfully combining it with his career in law enforcement.

According to him, serving in the police force never diminished his love for Fuji music, as he remained active in both professions throughout his years in service.

“While I was in the Nigeria Police Force, I combined my service to the nation with music. Now that I have retired, I am fully back and ready to give music my very best,” he said.

Adeyinka, who retired with the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), disclosed that he is currently putting the finishing touches to a new 12-track album, his first major project since leaving the force.

He revealed that one of the tracks was dedicated to the campaign for the creation of Ibadan State, reflecting his enduring commitment to the cultural and developmental aspirations of his people.

Beyond music, the retired officer said he intends to devote more time to his traditional responsibilities as the Mogaji Alare of the Agbejonku Royal Dynasty and a High Chief in Ibadan, as well as to his family and community.

The Fuji star expressed confidence that the forthcoming album, which is yet to be titled, would resonate with fans and reaffirm his place in the industry.

“I can assure my fans that the album will be a chartbuster. It is the vintage Askari that everyone has been waiting for,” he said.

He added that the project is scheduled for release at the end of August 2026 and will be available in both Compact Disc (CD) format and on major digital streaming and social media platforms to ensure global accessibility.

Askari’s last album, Ibadan, celebrated the rich cultural heritage of Ibadan and Oyo State and received commendation from Fuji music lovers and cultural enthusiasts. His latest project is expected to mark a new chapter in a career that has spanned both public service and entertainment.
