Nigerian reality TV star, Kiddwaya, has made a controversial claim about Nigeria’s independence, claiming that the British should have stayed longer in the country.
The actor, while speaking via his X handle, weighed in on the topic of Nigeria’s development, claiming that if the British administration had stayed for 10 more years, the country would have been more developed than it currently is.
”Unpopular opinion. The British should have stayed in Nigeria for 10/15 more years. You go see better development,” Kiddwaya wrote.

”Which country that they stayed longer has better development please,” one user wrote.
”Unpopular opinion: The British should have left us to govern ourselves and develop on our own, rather than giving us a false sense of freedom while continuing to work behind the scenes to keep us dependent on them and prevent us from ever truly outgrowing that dependence,” another user stated.
