Presidential Spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga is currently leading the Renewed Hope Ambassadors Presidential Media Team on a tour of State and Federal Government projects in Nasarawa state.

Nasarawa State governor, Abdullahi Sule and chairman North Central Governors Forum, received the Media Team in Lafia the state capital on Sunday.

Bayo Onanuga Onanuga the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, along his team members is expected to tour some projects executed by Nasarawa State and Federal Governments to verify and ascertain the impact of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Administration to the people of Nasarawa state.

While in the state, the team is also expected visit some landmark projects executed by governor Abdillahi Sule.
They include the newly constructed state secretariat complex, Lafia flyover and Underpass, Diamond New Energy Lithium Processing Plant recently commissioned by president Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Avarter Lithium processing plant all in Nasarawa local government Area of the state among others.

Stating the purpose of the visit, the Special Adviser, Bayo Onanuga said the visit aims to verify resources deployed to the state courtesy of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reforms for the purpose intended.

Speaking while receiving this guest, Nasarawa state governor, Abdillahi Sule, expressed happiness with the visit, saying his administration has ensure value for monies spent on every contract in a transparent manner.

“I have always asked for this kind of verification. Let me tell you that you are doing more than verification. You are are also doing an assessment. It is very important that what you are taking back should be the undisputable facts on the ground…

“For free, for us in Nasarawa state; we are very transparent. I came from the private sector. Every contract we give, I give the amount of the contract so that people can see the difference. I can tell you for free that Nasarawa state monthly federation allocation has risen to between 14 and 16 billion against the 3.8 to 4.5 billion naira the state use to receive monthly before the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reforms started” The Governor revealed.

The governor stressed that the reforms has freed resources that had previously been consumed by fuel and foreign exchange subsidies, allowing the state to embark on major infrastructure and human capital projects without recourse to bank loans.

Sule listed some of projects executed with the additional resources, including the N16.7b. Mararaba twin flyover, the dual-Carriage roads in Akwanga, the N6.6 bn Akwanga Underpass, the Shendam Road dualization for 5.6 billion Naira, a storm water drainage channel down Amba bridge for 3.3 billion Naira, and the Keffi flyover project at the cost of 11.4 billion.

“If you calculate so far, you will see that we have spent about N90 billion. Now, Nasarawa state, no way in the past years could think of spending this amount of money” Sule said.

He attributed the successes recorded by his administration to the reforms embarked upon by the president Bola Ahmed Tinubu led federal government, saying all projects executed by his administration in the state were carried out without borrowing from any bank.

“All the projects we are doing in Nasarawa State today are being executed without borrowing from the bank as a result of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s support. So you must give him the credit for that,” he said.

The governor also highlighted investments in vocational education, health infrastructure, and agriculture, including a skill acquisition centre offering training in 12 trades areas, a specialist hospital under construction in Akwanga, and a 10,000-hectare rice farm in the state.
