President Bola TinubuPresident Bola Tinubu has reiterated that his Government, remains committed to preserving unity as a nation despite differences.

“We must all work together to build a united, peaceful and prosperous Nigeria in line with our Renewed Hope Agenda.”

President Tinubu was represented by the Deputy President Of the Senate Senator Barau Jibrin, at the International Conference on National Security and Sustainable Economic Development, organised by the Muslim World League in collaboration with Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa Iqamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS) in Abuja.

The conference, which attracted participants from across Nigeria and beyond, was attended by prominent religious, traditional and political leaders from diverse faiths and ethnic backgrounds.

Barau Jibrin said, “I conveyed Mr President’s appreciation for the timing of the conference, particularly at a period when the world is confronted with multifaceted and evolving security challenges.

The Deputy President of the Senate, reiterated the President’s unwavering commitment to achieving sustainable security in Nigeria. Adding that, he remains focused on consolidating the gains being recorded in the security sector and across other critical areas of national development.

He charged participants to critically examine emerging trends that threaten our national and regional security systems and to proffer practical and sustainable solutions.

Urging them to take advantage of the internationally of the gathering to share diverse experiences that will further contribute to the ongoing debate on searching for viable options for restoring sustainable regional, continental, and global peace in this era of heightened global security turbulence.
