Members of the Association of Nigerian Artisans and Technicians (ASNAT) across the country have in strong terms declared endorsement of President Bola Ahmad Tinubu alongside his running mate, Kashim Ibrahim Shettima, for a second tenure comes 2027 general elections.
The endorsement was formally declared by the Association’s South East Coordinator, Hon. Julius Dozie, on behalf of the 12.5 million Nigerian Artisans and Technicians at the Three-day Leadership Summit (NALSUM) 2026 held at Ladi Kwali Conference Centre, Abuja.
The Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chief Femi Gbajabiamila, who graced the occasion, was represented by the Director General of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps, Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakubu.
Senator Abdul’aziz Yari (Marafan Sokoto), the former Governor of Zamfara State, who was the Chairman of the occasion, was also represented by Senator Tijjani Yahaya Kaura.
The event had Important personalities, such as the immediate past Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Hon Dr Yusuf Tanko Sununu and the representative of the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nantawe Yilwatda.
Dozie, while announcing the association’s endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCON, said, “On behalf of the 12.5 million Nigerian Artisans and Technicians, I hereby endorse President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reelection in 2027.
“This endorsement is strategic, based on the economic investment and people-oriented policies of President Bola Tinubu’s administration under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
“It is a vote of confidence in Mr President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, over his support to Nigeria’s Economic Investment and recognition of the Nigerian artisans, he declared.
The National Patron of the Association and Director General, Nigerian Office for Trade Negotiations (NOTN), Rt. Hon. Sanusi Garba Rikiji, commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitments towards promoting the Nigerian economic sector through a strong engagement with Nigerian Artisans and Technicians under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Rikiji, a former Speaker, Zamfara State House of Assembly, described President Tinubu’s administration’s recognition of ASNAT as fatherly support and encouragement for service to humanity.
Rikiji also commended the Chairman of the Occasion, Senator Abdul’aziz Yari, for sponsoring the summit and his unwavering support for the development of the association.
While flagging up the Operation 30-30 2027 voting pattern, Rikiji said the members of the association are ever ready to support President Tinubu’s re-election.
“We are well united and intact; the 12.5 million Nigerian Artisans and Technicians are capable of delivering 5.3 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 General Elections.
He said members of this great association have contributed 35 to 40 percent for the success of the Present Administration under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2023 and are prepared to do more in the 2027 General Elections.
“We have a strong and well-coordinated structure at the 176,864 polling units across the country.
“The 30+30 structure represents the Artisans in all polling units across the country”, Rikiji explained.
In his remarks, Senator Abdul’aziz Yari, who was the Chairman of the Occasion, commended members of the Association for being at the forefront to endorse President Bola Ahmad Tinubu for a second term in the 2027 general elections.
Yari described the Artisans and Technicians Association as a great pillar that contributes immensely to the nation’s economic growth; he pledged to give them all the necessary support to play their vital roles.
He further described the Artisans Structure as the largest and most well-coordinated, capable of transforming the nation.
“This is the largest association I have ever met in my life, and I believe the vote from this association will determine the President of this country.
“No association is bigger than this in terms of unity and coordination in Nigeria* Yari said.
He also commended Rikiji as National Patron of this great Association for all that he has been doing for the Members.
During the event, a paper titled ‘Integration of the Nigerian Artisans in Economic Development: A catalyst for Renewed Hope Agenda was presented by Engr. Anthony Abimbola, Regional Operations Manager, Nigerian Independent System Operator (NISO) Benin Region.
The National Coordinator, Association, Comrade Adeshina A. Akinyemi, in a welcome address, thanked Senator Yari for his support and fatherly advice to the Members of the ASNATS and further appreciated the important personalities that graced the occasion for honouring the invitation.
