Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has declared that he would never support the All Progressives Congress (APC), as political tensions continue to trail the Osun State governorship election.
The singer made the statement in a post on X on Saturday, where he openly distanced himself from the ruling party.
“I CAN NEVER SUPPORT APC IN MY LIFE !!!”
Davido’s latest comment came shortly after he accused President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of actions he said were threatening democratic principles during the ongoing election in Osun State.
Reacting to reports regarding the deployment of security personnel for the poll, the music star alleged that efforts were being made to influence the electoral process.
“Because we are winning. They want to withdraw the police and military! MR PRESIDENT TINUBU ! UR KILLING DEMOCRACY.”
Before making the allegation, Davido had raised concerns over technical challenges involving the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) at some polling units across the state.

The singer urged officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to switch to the front camera on the device whenever the main camera fails to function.
He shared the advice through his X account as voting continued in different parts of Osun State.
“If your BVAS camera is not working, please tell the officials to use front camera. It is very active and fast!,” he stated.
The appeal followed reports of BVAS-related difficulties experienced during voter accreditation at some polling centres.
INEC uses the BVAS for voter accreditation through fingerprint and facial recognition technology, among other electoral responsibilities.
Davido has remained vocal about developments surrounding the governorship election. In the days leading up to the poll, he also urged both local and international election observers to pay close attention to the conduct of the election.
