The presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Atiku Abubakar has extended his congratulations to Governor Ademola Adeleke on his re-election as Governor of Osun State.
In a post on his X account on Sunday, Atiku praised Governor Adeleke’s victory as a clear expression of the will of the people at the polls.
The former Nigerian leader also commended residents for their peaceful conduct during the exercise and wished the Governor success in his second term.

“I congratulate Governor Ademola Adeleke on his re-election as Governor of Osun State. His victory demonstrates the choice of the people of Osun as expressed at the ballot box.
“I commend the people for their passion and peaceful participation. I wish Governor Adeleke continued success as he continues to serve them,” he added.
Sunday Telegraph had earlier reported that Adeleke of the Accord Party, was declared the winner of the governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), securing 511,067 votes to beat his nearest rival, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who garnered 444,815 votes.
