The APC Senatorial Aspirant, Kwara South, and Deputy Zonal Coordinator, North Central, City Boy Movement, Engr. Sola Ajimati, has warned that the outcome of the Osun State 2026 governorship election offers a serious lesson for the APC in Kwara State.

According to him, the issue was not President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, but the failure to sufficiently resolve internal disagreements during Gboyega Oyetola’s tenure, which weakened party cohesion and created room for political realignment.

He noted that Osun’s latest political realignment, culminating in Governor Ademola Adeleke’s victory on the Accord platform, should attract serious attention in Kwara.

Ajimati said Kwara APC is currently facing internal tensions, primary disputes, stakeholder grievances and unresolved issues among governorship and senatorial aspirants, political leaders and key stakeholders, while the emergence of the G15 and Otoge Progressives has added another dimension to the situation.

He urged urgent and genuine dispute resolution, warning that “reconciliation delayed can become reconciliation denied.”
