The Senior Pastor of The Master’s Place International Church, Pastor Korede Komaiya, has celebrated his wife, Esther Komaiya, with a heartfelt tribute as the couple marked their 29th wedding anniversary on August 16, 2026.
Reflecting on their journey together, Pastor Komaiya recalled their wedding day on August 16, 1997, describing it as a divinely orchestrated union.
“Twenty-nine years ago today, on the 16th of August 1997, heaven leaned in and watched as Pastor Mrs. Faith Oyedepo joined our hands and our destinies,” he wrote.
According to him, what began as a covenant between two people has grown into “a cathedral of love, peace, sacrifice, growth, and the relentless faithfulness of God.”
In his tribute, the cleric expressed profound appreciation to his wife for her unwavering support, patience, understanding, and sacrifices throughout their nearly three decades of marriage.
“My girl… thank you. Thank you for the quiet strength that never asked for applause. Thank you for the patience that stayed when storms tried to rename us. Thank you for the support that carried more weight than anyone will ever see,” he stated.
He further acknowledged the sacrifices she made over the years, noting that many of them came at great personal cost to ensure peace and stability within their home.
“Thank you for the understanding that made room for my becoming. And above all, thank you for the sacrifices — the ones that cost you sleep, comfort, preference, and sometimes pieces of yourself — so that our home could remain peaceful and restful,” he added.
Pastor Komaiya emphasized the importance of selflessness in marriage, describing his wife as a living example of sacrificial love.
“You taught me that marriage is first sacrificial before it becomes beneficial. And because you lived that truth with grace, I have never once regretted the day I called you mine,” he said.
Describing Esther as “a rare gift from God,” he attributed the success and longevity of their marriage to divine grace and God’s sustaining hand.
“We are not just a couple who made it. We are a couple helped by God. So today I stand in awe — of you, of us, and of the God who has kept every promise,” he wrote.
Reaffirming his love and commitment, Pastor Komaiya declared that he still chooses and cherishes his wife after 29 years of marriage.
“To my girl: I still choose you. I still chase you. I still thank God for the privilege of calling you wife,” he said.
He concluded the tribute by giving glory to God for their journey together and expressing confidence that their best years are still ahead.
“Happy 29th Anniversary, my love. The best is still ahead of us. I love you more than yesterday… and less than tomorrow.”
