The political disagreement between Afrobeats superstar Davido and House of Representatives member, Hon. James Faleke, has taken a sharper turn following the outcome of the Osun State governorship election.

The latest exchange began after Davido criticised Faleke, an APC chieftain and close ally of President Bola Tinubu, over comments surrounding the election won by Governor Ademola Adeleke.

Faleke, who had campaigned for the APC candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, dismissed Davido’s allegation that he attempted to influence the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), insisting that the electoral body could not be manipulated by him or anyone else.

He subsequently told Davido to concentrate on his music while politicians handled politics.

But the singer fired back on Sunday afternoon with a blunt message aimed at the veteran politician.

“POLITICS is NOT A CAREER. Get a JOB!!!” Davido wrote.

The exchange has since sparked reactions online, with supporters of both men weighing in on the growing war of words.

The controversy comes after Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party emerged victorious in the Osun governorship election with 511,067 votes, defeating APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji, who polled 444,815 votes.

With the election result now settled, the public clash between Davido and Faleke has shifted attention from the ballot to the increasingly personal exchange between the entertainer and the lawmaker.
