Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Bishop Professor Stephen Adegbite, celebrated his 58th birthday with a thanksgiving gathering at the Commission’s headquarters, in Abuja.

He described his life and service as a testament to God’s faithfulness.

The celebration, attended by his wife, Princess Adewunmi Fadeke, their children, members of the NCPC Management and staff, friends, and other distinguished guests, included prayers, goodwill messages, gift presentations, and the cutting of a celebratory cake.

Dame Pauline Tallen, a former Minister of Women Affairs, delivered a goodwill message during the event, congratulating Bishop Adegbite on reaching 58 years. She commended his service to God and the nation and prayed for continued strength, divine protection, and greater accomplishments in his life.

In his remarks, Bishop Adegbite reflected on his journey, stating: “Out of the 58 years I have lived on earth, I have spent 38 years serving God.” He credited his accomplishments and progress to God’s grace and faithfulness.

The NCPC leader expressed gratitude to his wife, family, and staff for their support and prayers.

He also acknowledged the goodwill messages from  President Bola Tinubu, and the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu,  particularly appreciating the First Lady for personally conveying her birthday wishes.

Bishop Adegbite described his role at the NCPC as a privilege and an opportunity to further serve God, contribute to national development, and help unify the Body of Christ.

He emphasized the importance of promoting religious harmony, peace, and stability in Nigeria.

He encouraged his staff to remain committed to their service, stressing that every position of responsibility should be viewed as an opportunity to make a positive impact.

Bishop Adegbite noted that in the past two and a half years of his leadership, the pilgrimage exercises conducted under his guidance have been both rewarding and spiritually rejuvenating.

He announced that the next pilgrimage exercise would begin soon, reaffirming his unwavering passion for pilgrimage.
