The Minister of Regional Development, Engineer Abubakar Momoh, has congratulated the newly appointed Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mr Abel Olumuyiwa Enitan.

In a statement on Thursday, Engineer Momoh, described the appointment as well deserved, adding that it reflected Mr Enitan’s distinguished career, considerable institutional experience and more than seven years of service as a Federal Permanent Secretary across key ministries and offices of government.

The statement read, “I warmly congratulate Mr Abel Olumuyiwa Enitan on his appointment by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, as the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, effective August 27, 2026.

“This well-deserved appointment reflects Mr Enitan’s distinguished career, considerable institutional experience and more than seven years of service as a Federal Permanent Secretary across key ministries and offices of government.

“As he prepares to assume this important national responsibility on August 27, 2026, I am confident that his deep understanding of the Federal Civil Service will enable him to consolidate ongoing reforms, strengthen professionalism and accountability, and build a more innovative and responsive service capable of advancing President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

“I also commend the outgoing Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs Didi Esther Walson-Jack, OON, mni, for her remarkable leadership, reforms and years of dedicated service to our nation. I wish her a fulfilling retirement.
