Arsenal still keen on Osimhen as negotiations continue

Arsenal remain in talks with Galatasaray over a potential deal for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen despite reports suggesting the Premier League champions have withdrawn from the race.

According to Sebastien Denis of Foot Mercato, Arsenal have not abandoned their interest in the 27-year-old and are still exploring the possibility of bringing him to the Premier League.

Osimhen’s salary remains the major stumbling block in negotiations, with the striker reportedly earning around €20 million net annually at Galatasaray.

Arsenal are understood to be unwilling to make what they consider an excessive financial commitment, leaving the player’s wage demands as a crucial factor in determining whether a deal can be reached.

The report indicates that Osimhen may need to lower his salary expectations to facilitate a move to the Emirates Stadium.
