THE game of Teqball featured prominently at the 2026 edition of the Nigeria Bar Association football competition held at the Real Madrid Academy Stadium in Port Harcourt.
The football tournament (President’s Cup), played amongst NBA teams from Nigeria’s 36 states and the FCT, took place concurrently with the 66th NBA Annual General Conference slated from August 21 to August 28, 2026.
All through the competition, the Rivers Whales Teqball team was able to teach and engage several interested NBA team players in the game of Teqball.
Rivers Whales athletes were also given the opportunity to perform during half-time of both the Male the Female football finals.
The Chairman of Rivers State Teqball Association (RIVTEQ), Halim Adebola Zaccah also used the opportunity to explain the techniques of the game to the thrilled audience.
Next up for Rivers Whales is preparation for the Inaugural National Intermediate Games slated for Lagos State from October 1st to 15th, 2026 where Teqball will feature as a medal game amongst 29 sports.
