A 16-year-old girl is facing felony armed robbery charges after allegedly participating in the robbery of a 39-year-old man at gunpoint on Chicago’s South Side in May, according to Chicago Police.

What Happened

At approximately 2:17 p.m. on May 23, 2026, a 39-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint in the 0-100 block of East 114th Street in the 5th District on Chicago’s South Side.

The CPD press release describes the juvenile as one of the offenders, indicating additional suspects may have been involved.

The Citywide Robbery Task Force arrested the 16-year-old girl on August 26, 2026, in the 600 block of East 67th Street.

She was identified as one of the offenders in the May 23 robbery and placed into custody.

The Charge

She faces one felony count of armed robbery with a firearm.

Under Illinois law, juvenile defendants are not publicly identified by name.

Her case will be handled in the juvenile justice system.
