The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has warned members of the public against a fraudulent employment offer being circulated by individuals falsely claiming to represent the agency.
FAAN issued the warning on Thursday through its official X platform, describing the circulating document as a fake “Letter of Provisional Offer of Employment.”
The authority said it was not currently conducting any recruitment exercise and therefore had no connection with the employment letter or any related offers being circulated.
“FAAN wishes to state categorically that the Authority is not currently conducting any recruitment exercise and disassociates itself from this letter and any related employment offers,” the statement said.
The agency urged members of the public not to make payments or provide personal information to individuals issuing the purported employment offers.
It also advised job seekers to disregard such communications and verify recruitment-related information through FAAN’s official channels before taking any action.
FAAN stressed that any genuine recruitment exercise would be officially announced through its recognised communication platforms.
The authority urged the public to remain vigilant and exercise caution to avoid falling victim to employment scams.
