Controversial social media personality, VeryDarkMan, has reacted to an invitation from the Nigeria Police Force over allegations he made concerning the alleged involvement of some police officers in kidnapping activities.

VeryDarkMan disclosed that the police invited him to provide evidence regarding his claims, which he made during his speech at the 2026 Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Conference.

In a statement, he maintained that he stood by his allegations and would honour the police invitation, but said he would not disclose his evidence at this stage.

«“Nigeria police has invited me to come and give evidence about my kidnapping claims. I stand by my words. I will honour their invitation, but to be very honest, I won’t give them my evidence. I will be charged to court, and then I will tender the evidence.”»

The social media personality also reacted to calls from some Nigerians for his arrest, noting that some of those now defending security operatives were previously urging him to focus his criticism on the government.

His comments followed growing attention to the allegations he made at the 2026 NBA Conference, where he reportedly accused some police officers of conniving with kidnappers.

The police invitation is expected to provide an opportunity for the authorities to seek clarification and evidence regarding the claims.

VeryDarkMan’s response suggests that he intends to reserve the evidence he says he possesses for any possible legal proceedings.
