The Nigeria Police Force has paid its final respects to the late retired Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG Emmanuel Ifeanyi Ezeozue, during his funeral ceremony held in Nanka, Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The Inspector-General of Police, represented by the Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Nnanna Oji Ama, psc, mnips, joined senior police officers, members of the deceased’s family, friends, colleagues and other dignitaries at the funeral on Thursday, August 27, 2026.

Speaking at the ceremony, CP Nnanna described the late AIG Ezeozue as a distinguished police officer and accomplished public servant who contributed significantly to the Nigeria Police Force and served the country with dedication and commitment.

The Commissioner commiserated with the bereaved family, friends, colleagues and associates of the deceased, noting that his contributions to policing and his worthy service to the nation would remain part of his enduring legacy.

CP Nnanna also prayed to God Almighty to grant the deceased eternal rest and give the bereaved family the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

He appreciated serving and retired police officers, dignitaries and other well-wishers who attended the funeral, describing their presence as a demonstration of the enduring bond of comradeship and solidarity within the Nigeria Police Force.

The Anambra State Police Command expressed its condolences to the Ezeozue family and the entire Nigeria Police Force, while celebrating the late retired AIG’s distinguished career, sacrifices and enduring legacy.
