Nigerian rapper Erhiga Agarivbie, popularly known as Erigga, has spoken on the need for people to keep private details of their lives off social media.

While speaking via his X handle, the rapper claimed publicising every action on the internet is a waste of time, adding that people mostly do that to feel important.

Erigga stressed that social media becomes a lot less exhausting once people realise that every other person is busy living their own lives.

”Posting everything you do on social media is a waste of time. Your life isn’t that exciting. Neither is mine. We post the trips, cars, dinners and who we’re with because our ego wants people to think we’re important. Meanwhile, everyone else is busy living their own life. Nobody really gives a shit what vacation you’re on, what you drive, or who you’re with. And once you realize that, social media gets a lot less exhausting,” he wrote.
