The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced the dates for shortlisted candidates to check their status and participate in the oral interview stage of the 2024/2025 recruitment exercise.

The notice, signed by A M Jibril, Maj. Gen. (Rtd), Secretary to the Board, on Friday, contains the latest update on the recruitment exercise.

Candidates who participated in the physical and medical screening for recruitment into the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) are affected by the latest announcement.

According to the Board, candidates who applied under the Graduate Category should visit the official CDCFIB recruitment portal, https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng, between Monday, August 31, and Wednesday, September 2, 2026, to check whether they have been shortlisted for the oral interview.

Those who applied with NCE, OND, or SSCE qualifications are to access the same portal from Monday, September 7, to Wednesday, September 9, 2026, to check their shortlist status.

The Board said successful candidates must select an interview venue closest to them, as well as a suitable date and time, before printing their invitation letters.

It also directed shortlisted applicants to comply strictly with the dress code stated in their invitation letters, warning that access to the interview venues would be limited to candidates shortlisted for the final stage.

CDCFIB warned applicants against relying on emails for recruitment updates.

“Furthermore, kindly note that the CDCFIB does not and will not send out emails; all communications should be obtained from the portal.”

The Board urged candidates to use only the official recruitment portal and its recognised communication channels for information concerning the exercise.

It also stressed that the recruitment process remains free of charge and cautioned applicants against individuals or groups seeking money in exchange for employment.

“The Board reiterates that the entire recruitment process is transparent and FREE OF CHARGE.”

“Applicants are therefore advised to disregard any individual or group demanding payment for employment in whatever form and to report such person(s) to the nearest security agency, or person in authority.”
