Liverpool agree £123m Barcola deal with PSG

Liverpool have reportedly reached an agreement to sign France forward Bradley Barcola from European champions Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in a deal worth up to £123 million ($166.4 million), according to media reports.

The 23-year-old is set to become one of the latest high-profile additions to new Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola’s squad as the club strengthens its attack following the departure of Mohamed Salah.

According to the BBC, Liverpool will pay an initial £106 million for Barcola, with a further £17 million available in performance-related add-ons. The Athletic reports that the French forward is expected to sign a five-year contract.

Barcola joined PSG from boyhood club Lyon in 2023 and quickly established himself as one of the leading young attackers in European football.

During his time in Paris, he won back-to-back Champions League titles in the 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons, three Ligue 1 titles and two French Cups.

He made 152 appearances for PSG across all competitions, scoring 39 goals and providing 37 assists.

Barcola still had two years remaining on his PSG contract before Liverpool agreed a deal for his transfer.

His arrival would represent another significant move in Liverpool’s summer rebuild under Iraola, following the additions of Uruguay defender Ronald Araujo on loan, French centre-back Jeremy Jacquet and Spanish forward Victor Muñoz.

Liverpool have already invested heavily in their attack, with British-record signing Alexander Isak joining Cody Gakpo, Rio Ngumoha and Muñoz among the club’s attacking options.

The Reds are also dealing with an injury setback to forward Hugo Ekitike, who is expected to spend an extended period on the sidelines.

Barcola’s versatility, pace and ability to create and score goals would provide Iraola with another attacking weapon as Liverpool adjust to life without Salah and look to compete for major honours under their new manager.
