The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has criticized President Bola Tinubu’s campaign platform, the City Boys Movement, accusing its officials of indulging in wasteful and extravagant living while ordinary Nigerians face hardship.

In a statement issued by the party’s national spokesman, Osa Director, the NDC condemned what it described as “tone-deaf conduct,” noting that members of the movement were flying private jets and flaunting luxury at a time when citizens are struggling under the APC-led administration.

“It is the same government that keeps asking Nigerians to endure the pain its own policies have inflicted, while it lives in opulence and squanders taxpayers’ money,” Director said.

The NDC argued that Nigeria cannot continue to sink deeper into poverty while public resources are used to fund lavish lifestyles for a privileged few.

“The nation is at the precipice. We must collectively reject wastage and the extravagant lifestyle of a privileged few. It is our duty as a people to say no to the APC by voting them out,” the statement added.

The party assured Nigerians that its presidential candidate would ensure judicious use of public funds, pledging zero tolerance for government waste.
