Security operatives in Delta State have recorded a major breakthrough in the fight against crime, arresting four suspects, rescuing three kidnapped victims, and recovering firearms and ammunition in a series of coordinated, intelligence-led operations.

The operations, carried out across Ughelli, Asaba, and Issele-Uku, targeted criminal networks linked to cultism, kidnapping, and illegal arms possession.

According to security sources, two of the suspects identified as alleged cult leaders were apprehended in connection with a January 15 murder case, marking a significant step in ongoing efforts to dismantle violent groups operating in the state. In a separate operation, another suspect was arrested at a known criminal hideout, where firearms and ammunition were recovered.

In a related development, a joint security team successfully rescued three kidnapped victims, further highlighting the effectiveness of inter-agency collaboration in tackling insecurity.

Authorities confirmed that investigations are ongoing, with intensified efforts to track down fleeing suspects and consolidate gains made in recent operations. The police also reassured residents of their continued commitment to maintaining law and order across the state.
