Following the call for financial help amid deteriorating health issues, the Governor of Abia State, Alex Otti, has paid the sum of N25 million to the hospital treating veteran Nollywood actress Ngozi Nwosu.
New Telegraph recalls that the 62-year-old actress recently appealed to the public for financial assistance over an undisclosed health condition.
According to the actress in a video that went viral recently, she requires three surgeries and needs N30 million to cover the total cost of the procedures.

Confirming the payment on Thursday, Governor Otti’s senior special assistant on tourism and entertainment, J Martins, said Governor Otti had fulfilled his pledge to cover her medical expenses by instructing the payment to be made to the hospital’s account.
He also expressed gratitude for the Governor’s generosity.
He wrote on X, “Payment made to the hospital. Yesterday before the close of work, His Excellency @alexottiofr, our pragmatic leader, made good his promise, directing a 25M payment to the hospital’s account where our Nollywood legendary actress Mrs Ngozi Nwosu is receiving treatment.
“We thank you immensely for your support and kindness of heart, sir. History will be kind to you.”
