Oba Yoruba in Kano, Engr. Murtala Alimi Otisese (Adetimirin 1), has congratulated the Emir of Kano, His Highness, Muhammadu Sanusi 11, on the occasion of his birthday.

The Oba Yoruba in Kano, in a statement he personally signed, conveyed his heartfelt greetings and felicitations to Emir Sanusi, on behalf of the Oba-in-Council, and the entire Yoruba community in Kano State.

According to him, “we celebrate not only a remarkable monarch but also a father, a bridgebuilder, and a symbol of unity whose wisdom, humility, and exemplary leadership continue to inspire people across Nigeria.”

He further stated that the Yoruba community in Kano remains deeply grateful for the genuine love, acceptance, and respect Emir Sanusi has consistently shown to them.

“Under your guidance and leadership, we have enjoyed peace, harmony, and a strong sense of belonging. The respect and honour accorded to the Oba Yoruba Kano and the Yoruba traditional institution stand as a testament to your commitment to justice, inclusiveness, and peaceful coexistence.

“Your Royal Highness has continued to strengthen the long-standing relationship between the people of Kano and the Yoruba community, fostering an atmosphere where cultural diversity is celebrated and mutual respect thrives.

“As you mark another glorious year, we pray that Almighty Allah grants you many more years in good health, abundant wisdom, divine protection, and continued success on the throne of your forefathers. May your reign continue to bring peace, prosperity, and progress to Kano State and Nigeria as a whole,” the Statement added.
